Diwali, The Festival of Light: Decor Idea!!!

Hi beautiful,
How have you all been? Many of you who follow me on Instagram too, know I have a baby since I did my last blog post here! Last year during Diwali I was pregnant, was in the second trimester (the best time during pregnancy), and my mother was here with me (i know it was blissful)! Therefore, I arranged a Diwali Celebration Party at my place and decorated my place as I wanted to. I literally played all out! Please follow through to see how I did it!

The Diwali Centerpiece, created on a cake stand and with some flowers and candles and tea lights!

I created this Alpana (bengali ways of doing Rangoli) design with simple diyas from a local pottery store in my home town in India and tea lights and drew the design free hand with rice flower and water mix (of course I used my watercolor brushes)! Well, yes it took me long; total of almost 5-6 hours to finish! And could not do it in one go because I had to wait for design to dry before I could do a second coat so it really stands out on my brown wooden floor!

Quick disclaimer, all the design and ideas are mine! I would love to see your diwali decor/design or if you want to recreate my design would love to see that too! Please post your photos on thedocndiva Facebook page or on instagram and tag "thedocndiva".

That's all for today. Thank you for visiting us!
Hope to see you soon!

XOXO
