Dark circles: We shall Overcome...

 My Home-Made Recipe

To

Hi Beautiful!

Here, I come with another home-made beauty remedy and YES you guessed it right, this is for 'Panda-eye'. Actually, thanx to one of my special friends who asked me what I do about dark circles around eye area few days back and I thought why not I share that with all of you guys here! Honestly, I never used any of those expensive, branded under-eye cream. However, I use this do-it-yourself formula since I was in college in India. So far, I would say I am extremely satisfied with the appearance of my around eye area, in other words, the outcome of what I have been using since ages. Especially, I can tell you one of the proudest moments in my life, When Auripra was a baby and I was breast-feeding even twice/thrice during night time; so not to mention it was really stressful those days and I was totally into insomnia... However, when I used to say that to my friends, they always responded like "Seriously! It is not showing on your face!" I believe, what they tried to mean is "Why there is no dark-circle around your eye area if you are not sleeping during night ?"

On another note, I just found out Stress and fatigue are not the only reasons of this problem. I requested "Doc" if he could help us here and give us some scientific info regarding other causes, prevention and treatment etc.

Okay!!! Enough of beating around the bush! Following is what I use:

What you will need:

1. Few slices of potato (with skin)
2. Few slices of cucumber (with skin)
3. Few almonds (overnight soaked in plain water) with skin
4. Few slices of tomato OR 1/2 tea-spoon lemon juice (Yes, you are right! the tooth-pick is acting as an "oblique" sign in the pic)

Preparation:

Grind potato, cucumber, almond and tomato together (I always avoid adding extra water, chopping ingredients into really thin and small pieces will help you in this scenario). If you are using lemon juice, add it after grinding all other stuffs. Keep the mixture in refrigerator for around 15-20 minutes if you want them really chilled (I like it chilled in summer time only).

Next, just soak two cotton pads into it and apply that on your eyes for about 10-15 minutes. You can also give yourself a beauty sleep or meditation during this time if you want. I use this pack usually twice a week or even every alternate day if I am going through really stressful days. Just make the mixture once for the whole week and use it as you want it (in that case you must refrigerate it).

Please comment below to let us know your ways of dealing with dark circles.
All the best.
XOXO

    1. You can sure store it in refrigerator for a day or so and try to avoid contamination by storing it some before using the rest!
